Why buy Thermomix?

Thermomix is a very versatile kitchen appliance that will appeal to people for a variety of reasons. Personally, I was sold by the amount of time I would save in cooking the family meals after a full day’s work. I have always cooked everything from scratch but having a young child, I realised that I wanted to spend more time with her in the evening and less time cooking. Not convinced? Here are some of the reasons why it makes sense to own a Thermomix…

You have very little time to cook due to busy schedule, children, work…

Thermomix saves time throughout the preparation and cooking process. It weighs, chops in seconds and while it cooks, you can go about your business. Examples of time savings are: risottos cooked and stirred by your Thermomix in 12 minutes unattended, custards cooked in 9 minutes unattended, white sauce cooked in 6 minutes unattended, bread dough kneaded in 2 minutes, ice creams and sorbets churned in a couple of minutes, parmesan grated in 8 seconds…

You are lacking in cooking skills but still want to prepare beautiful nutritious dinners

Thermomix is very easy and safe to use so even your children can help out! Recipes are extremely simple to follow and you only need to literally put the food in the bowl, chop and set the time, temperature and speed and that’s it! Examples are hollandaise, béchamel and custard made to perfection each time, soups will never be overcooked you can set the temperature to exactly 100°C, which is perfect to cook vegetables without loosing nutrients…

You are an enthusiastic cook!

With such a versatile machine, the possibilities are endless. Chefs also use it in their kitchens because it is so powerful and saves so much time! You can make you own cream or butter, chutneys, jams, mustard, flours, and much more.

You have diet restrictions or want to eat healthy food

Because you can cook almost everything from scratch, you can control what ingredients go into your preparation. Coeliacs will love the ability to make their own flours while people with swallowing difficulties swear by it as it makes the smoothest purées so no more fear of choking on bits of food. Perfect too for diabetics or lactose intolerance or food allergies. Thermomix can also help you maintain a healthy weight and a healthy body because you can so quickly and easily prepare really good food from real ingredients – no additives or chemicals needed!

You have limited space in your kitchen

Thermomix combines more than 10 appliances in one, making it the smallest kitchen in the world! It does the job of a bread maker, an ice-cream maker, a blender, a food processor, a weighing scale, a hand mixer, a coffee and spice grinder, a steamer, a rice cooker, a whisk and more!

You hate washing up

Save hours of time washing up when there’s only your Thermomix to do instead of a big heap of pots, pans and kitchen equipment.

You want to save money on utility bills and be more “green”

Thermomix has been tested and found to use less than half the power of an induction hob. The owner of a guest house has noticed that she saves money on her electricity and water bills because with a Thermomix she’s not using her dishwasher, hob and oven so much any more.

You are a member of the slow food movement and love to make everything from scratch

Thermomix enables you to do so much more from scratch because of its versatility and ease of use – the former president of the Slow Food movement in Manchester was sceptical at first, but was intrigued when she first saw Thermomix in action, and now she calls her Thermomix her “wife” in the kitchen!

You entertain a lot

With Thermomix, you’ll be able to prepare and cook many more recipes in the time available, and the results are delicious – you’ll have in your home kitchen a tool that is so good, chefs love it too – for consistent, beautiful, reliable results and wonderful colour, flavour and texture.

You have a baby to wean from milk onto solid foods

Baby food is simplicity itself when you have a Thermomix – you can steam the baby’s food and then blend fine purées at the start, moving on gradually to adult food. And you can feed all the family at the same time. Thermomix baby food gives you peace of mind, knowing exactly what your baby is eating, and it saves you time and money.

You love raw food and want the best tool available

Raw nut butters done in 1 minute or less, raw sorbets, raw butter, salads chopped and dressed in 10 to 20 seconds, beautifully smooth raw soups or heat them to 37°C with accurate temperature control, easy to wash up, built-in weighing scales, Thermomix is loved by raw foodies all over the world.

You want to save money on your food budget and reduce waste

Cooking from real food ingredients can reduce the cost of your food bill dramatically. Make your own breads, stocks, herb salts, sauces, breadcrumbs, soups, custards, cakes, biscuits, stews, curries, risottos… the possibilities are endless and the savings are significant. You’ll get more from your ingredients e.g. you won’t have to put a puree through a sieve. You’ll have less waste e.g. that leftover half bag of salad becomes a delicious soup or a pesto. Most people don’t believe that Thermomix will save them so much, but once you start using it, you will probably join the hundreds of thousands of happy Thermomix owners around the world who talk about how much they save with Thermomix.

You have a garden or allotment and want to cook and preserve your home-grown produce

Jams, jellies, chutneys, compotes and fruit desserts are easy with a Thermomix, soups are delicious and fast, steaming in the Varoma is wonderful. And freeze some of your extra fruit to use in sorbets, ice creams and smoothies.

If you want to see the Thermomix in action, why not contact me to organise a demonstration? Demonstrations can be done in the comfort of your own home, in a relaxed atmosphere and there is no obligation for you to purchase at the end of it.

  1. Hmm it seems like your website ate my first comment (it was super long) so
I guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m
thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any recommendations for newbie blog writers? I’d really appreciate it.

    • Hi there,
I guess WordPress is a good place to start your blog. You can either get it hosted by wordpress (it’s free in this case and no need to buy a domain name and a hosting company). There are plenty of tutorials on the web so look for “create own blog” with Google and you should get plenty of material to get you started.
